I found my cotton clothesline at the $ store. The label reads...SecureLine Cotton Clothesline 100ft. X 3/16in. I am going to try the 3/8 polyester rope that I have left over from doing the fancy lawn chairs to see what kind of a basket it will do. My lat basket I made with a Rayon blend? fabric and it turned out nicely. There are a couple of tutorials on QB, one done by Eddie and someone else. There are also more pictures of fantastics examples in different posts. There are tutorials on the net also.

Susan Breier "It's A Wrap" but there are many instructions on You Tube that will show you how to make these. I just made them smaller than usual to fit my purpose. By the way, some of the ugliest fabric and multi colored fabric made the cutiest bowls. |
They all look great. I own the rope and a book on making larger bowls etc. but I just haven't gotten to them yet.
