I found that if you cut your strips on the bias for the tubes, then the straight of grain ends up on the outside of the blocks.

I love your quilt - the color is very nice and the pattern is awesome - aren't precuts awesome?
I am addicted to pre-cuts - I just love them - I get lots of compliments from my quilts when I use precuts - I always hear that I have a way with color - (the secret is the precuts) I politely accept the compliment while I know that the precuts are really making me look good.
