As always, it is gorgeous! You're a quilting genius!

I agree, I think the white is a good choice for this. The black would have muddied the waters on the flowers. Nice quilt by the way.

Jackie I thnk you should redo it in black thread!!! LOL... Only kidding. As usual - great work. I am going to do a black/white/yellow someday.

You have done it again, Jackie...that is a stunning quilt. You certainly
have an "eye" for what will make a great quilt even better. You are definately in the right business. |
I think you picked wisely, I really like how it looks on the black and you're completely right any color especially back would have washed out all those beautiful colors and quite possibly made the black on white fabrics look to busy.
I read somewhere that the quilting on a quilt adds another depth, a harmony, you always seem to hit that line just right. Adding without taking a thing away from the piecing. |
I think white was the right choice. As usual, you have done a brilliant quilting job too!
|
wonderful fabrics and quilting!

I think the white thread looks great Jackie. It's a lovely quilt and the quilting is awesome as usual!

White was the best choise also in my opinion. The quilt and quilting are beautiful!!

That turned out so nice, Jackie!!!! I like the white thread, perfect for that quilt!
I also try to let the customer pick the thread colors. Only once did I get a quilt loaded, try the thread and go "yuck!", and make an executive decision to change. It was a quilt with square blocks of Hawaiian fabrics, separated by sashing. We thought that a Rainbows variegated would look good, but it looked horrid on the two-color blocks. I went with white thread, put a Hawaiian flower in each block (the customer wanted reallllllly lightly quilted) with SID on the blocks. Sometimes simple works best!! You are doing awesome work, girl!!! |
