The colors were at the request of the mother of this soon to arrive little one. She is doing a Curious George themed nursery and the colors are softer versions of the balloons George carries.
The pattern was a variation of one I had seen on the board. I wanted to give it a try. When it was finished the total look of the quilt was much different than what I expected. I also did a lot of machine quilting on it which is not my style but I like the results. The back is a white on white print but the quilting made beautiful medallions. The photo of the back just did not show the quilting well so I did not post it. Thanks for the positive comments. When we work alone in our little sewing rooms, we do not get much feed back. I think that is part of the joy and benefits of the board. We can support one another with those warm fuzzies and suggestions.... when they are asked for. |
Love them both. You've been busy.

You really are a quilt artist....your fabric selections add so much interest and dimension to these two quilts. It makes the eye linger and explore, just what we all hope our quilts provoke in the viewer. Very well done! Jan in VA |
