Love the fall colors. You made a beautiful quilt out of your scraps. You should be proud!

Thanks for posting this. I like scraps & strings, but like this better than most I've seen. Does this block have a name and dimensions?

I think I've answered my own question. Is this a Half Log Cabin block, as in MaryQuilts ?

Very pretty!!! I have a long ways to go before I use all of my scraps! My DH tries to stay on top of them. But, I like making scrappy quilts too. So, sometimes I create some of my own.

I really like it especially the pattern you used.

I saw the pattern in one of my quilt magazines. I have been looking for it, but can't find it yet. I didn't follow the pattern anyway. Here is what I did. Cut 4" squares and 2 inch strips and did sort of a log cabinish type with two fabrics strips on each. Give it a try, it is great for using up scraps. I just squared the blocks to 6 1/2" then sewed them on point. The side triangles are 7" blocks cut in half diagonally.

This is the pattern that inspired me for the scrappy one. http://www.mccallsquilting.com/quick..._Quilt_Pattern

What a unique setting ... and you just supplied me with the answer to my "Fall colors" scrap bag.
