Went and read your story, you sure should write, maybe you could turn that into a parttime job. There is a lady who writes books that are quilting based, and they sound like they should be really good.

Whoop, whoop! Loved your story, because I've been there. that's why I don't cut the whole quilt out at once any more! i hear my husband's voice in my head,'Measure twice; cut once.' I still take as much of my machine apart as I can, and it's usually a teensy, weensy bit of thread hiding in the most improbable place - or the top thread caught under the spool or in the notch.
Your quilt is beautiful. Has the look of a beloved antique. |
This is beautiful and it was worth the wait. Is there a name/pattern for it?
|
To all that asked there is no pattern. It started out as something else and I was inspired by grannies stars in fons and porters 2009 june issue I think. So I had to get out pen and paper and do some math because I didn't have the pattern just a picture of the quilt. You can find my inspiration on my blog that I'm not allowed to post here on the board. I might get in trouble for even mentioning that I have a blog. The rules here keep me guessing. So if I just made another boo-boo Im sorry in advance. I like to call this quilt my Variation of a variation, variation quilt.
