:-) :-) :-) |
awesome idea!! I totally forgot I have some of those bags - they are neat

Great idea...thanks for sharing!

I love those bags, we use them to store winter clothing and bedding. I am going to use the idea to store batting, seems like it wants to take over the room sometimes.

Aren't you clever! Great idea :-)

Great idea.

Carrie you are sew clever. I will have to look for my bags. :-)

I love those space bags. I travel with them and am able to take the a lot of clothing in a small suitcase. i also put the dirty clothes in them for the return trip so I can keep them separate from the remaining clean. When DH and I cruise, we also take our own king pillows in one and put in luggage.

What a great idea as batting does take up a lot of space.

Love those bags.

ROFL You are funny but it sure works. Maybe we should do our entire fabric stash?

Those bags are the neatest invention since sliced bread

Very clever!

You are so smart!!! Great idea :-D

I stuffed leftover batting in one and eventually it filled up with air, vacuumed out all the air agine and it filled up with air again. Great concept but, it doesn't work.

I love those bags for winter things. Haven't thought of using them for sewing related stuff, thanks!

Have your hubby build rafters in the ceiling lol.... more room to store. Love it. Glad you found a way to save. :)

Yes, clever you!!
|
Good Idea! I don't have that many scraps yet, but have one entire closet filled with winter blankets and extra pillows...I'm going to try that idea. Thanks for the reminder.
|
Thats what I do also, major space saver!
|
great idea..
|
That's the way to do it:)
|
Cool idea. Will have to give that try. The scraps of batting seem to accumulate really fast. I usually piece them together and use them on lap throws or totes or other small projects but I currently have several bags that would be nice to have all in one. Thanks for sharing your wonderful idea.

There are some bags that you can roll the air out of that are made for travelers that work great. The ones I use for out of season blankets and sleeping bags, etc are original space bags. Do not order on line because the S& H is terrible. You can find them in a lot of stores and some drug stores and they work great.
|
Hope it works for you. All the space bags I have used always leaked after a short time.
|
I used to store my prepackaged bags of polyester quilt batts in the pillow shams that sit on all the beds around the house. I would even pack pillow cases full of scrap batting and shove them into the pillow shams, or throw cushions on the couch. lol
|
I've been using the bags for years only had problem with one that wouldn't hold air.
