I agree - Just Can't Cut It is PERFECT for this kind of stunning focus fabric. I recommend it, I recommend it.

This is my favorite pattern for using a fabric that needs to be showcased.

I like this idea too, adding another fabric to the two you have :D:D:D

I think this would be perfect...strippy would keep the feel of the street scene. Another idea migth be in between the street scene put rows of your favorite stars in holiday colors, or vary each row. Do stars in one. Trees in one. Snowflakes and mittens another, stockings and gifts in another, etc.

That fabric reminds me of the song Silver Bells: City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style. Children laughing, people passing...

Thanks for the suggestion as I too have a piece of fabric I fell in love with and have had the same concern as Lallyann trying to decide how to best use it.

I found it, it's called Christmas Time - Merry Main Street, by Alexander Henry. Fabric Shack carries it.[/quote]

Here is a link for his site.

I didn't recall seeing this block so I did a search, I thought I would share in case anyone else hadn't seen it.

I bought it at Joann's! My daughter and I took a trip to look for backing for another quilt, and of course, we had to get this :)

Thank you, thank you for all the suggestions! I am going to show all these ideas to my daughter and see what she thinks. As always, thanks for your help! This board has the best people :)

I also like the attic window, looks like you are looking out onto the street
