it also looks like a background for an applique to me. SBS, dragonfly, kitten, ot whatever. Love it.

landscape....applique...would it work for Kalidescope patch??

I'd be reluctant to cut it, and use it as a backing for a piece coordinated quilt

What To Do. . .

I'd use it as the sashing, cutting it lengthwise instead of width-wise, to put between blocks of "Potato Chip" quilt pattern to separate the blocks and make each block stand out a bit more. It also made the quilt a little bit bigger, which was perfect for the person to whom I gave it.

I think it would be a good candidate for this type of quilt http://www.amazon.com/Fabulous-Fract.../ref=pd_cp_b_0

I'm not an applique person and I love the idea of taking it slightly abstract without losing the wonderful warmth of the original image and the nice lines and colors would also be preserved. I saw a demo of the methods in this book at a local guild meeting along with quilts made from this method and it was pretty amazing.

Love the fabric! I see a landscape using a pond or lake image and using this fabric as flowers along the edge, reflecting in the "water".
