I'm working on the spider web quilt as a leader/ender quilt. Pattern is from Quiltville, Bonnie Hunt's website with lots of scrap quilt patterns for free!

The second one is a string quilt that I'm hand quilting in the plain squares. The string squares have already been machine quilted.

I'm actually working on a couple of others. A baby quilt which is ready to quilt and a QAYG square in a square that my dear aunt made the blocks for back in the 70's. I'm still looking for the right yellow for binding. No pictures of those yet.

Right now it is piled high with fabric of all sizes. I haaave looked at so many of your shelves organized and thought maybe I would do a simple version of that as I do not have a huge stash. I like what you are working on.

So glad I could call my hand stitched Cathedral window a mini quilt !! Very labor intensive and lots of muslin. all folded. I had to get to a library to find the original pattern/instructions for this beautiful pattern !

I live in the apartment we built for our daughter while she finished college as a young wife and mother, then son's fience to finish her last year of nursing when her father was layed off, then for my mother to live in... We now live in this wonderful apartment with heating and airconditioning, bar with stove and micrwave and refergerator meant for one or few people ! I MISS a sewing room in my 4 bedroom, 2 full bath, two living room house that is used now by my daughter, her husband and two kids with dog returned ! hah! I miss a sewing room and Geneology room.

Tools are to repair, not to create. learned to use a screwdriver and repair a lamp at age 10. "All girls need to know tools" must have been my mother's father's moto.. she taught us well !

thanks for the note!

I love your quilt. Very bright and colorful.

I am currently working a Koi pond quilt. It is currently still in the hand applique stage. I have 3 lotus flowers to add and a 3 dragonflies before I start the finishing details with the actual quilting.

Here's a glimps of what I was working on.

Well, I am currently side-tracked from quilting (not for long though). The American doll-like doll for my DGD arrived yesterday along with Nancy Zeiman's 30-minute doll clothes book and DVD. I will be making doll clothes for DGD's birthday and Christmas. And her doll will have her own quilt too, of course!!

Everyone's GFG quilts are gorgeous. That is a territory I haven't explored yet. I have heard it is a great take along project though. I already have a big vase full of yoyos that I make when we go places in the car.

The other thing on my table... I'm cutting 7 inch charms from tons of fabric scraps to make an I SPY quilt for one of my grandsons. It's his turn to get one, four grandkids got them for Christmas, and two had their already. He wants one so badly.

Hi, I love your pillow bed. I am curious to know if you can slip the pillows in and out in order to wash the cover? That sure would be fun to make for grandkids visits and to give them for their homes.
