Well, for now I use some small curtains that we don't use on the windows to throw over all of mine. The curtains are too short for our windows, but they make a useful dust cover. They are bright pink and very ruffley. My aunt gave them to us.
I like your covers much better! I really, really like the second one, but both are great! It's been on my to do list for a while now (to make a real cover). I almost bought a pattern with a pic of an old machine to applique on the front. |
Those are pretty! I use a pillowcase to cover mine.
those are fabulous machine covers. Great choice of fabric too!!
Your covers are awesome! I drape a tea towel over my machine when I remember.
OUTSTANDING! Those will be some lucky machines to get such a great cover. Please share your pattern - love you choice of fabric.
uuuhhhh lots of dust  Yes did you design yourself or have a pattern ?
You did a beautiful job! I have the fabric all put aside to make a cover for mine...leftover from when I made my valance. Hopefully I can get cracking on it soon!
Thank you all! I didn't anticipate so many wanting a pattern. I didn't use a pattern except to measure and copy the cheap plastic covers the machines came with. I did do a lot of googling for instrucions and ended up borrowing a friend's pattern (McCall's Home Decorating #2723 "Sewing Room Essentials" ) but never opened it. I quilted the fabric, so it has nice body.
BTW . . . my own sewing machine and serger are naked! |
Those are beautiful!!! They are going to love them :D:D:D
My poor machines are naked  |
Dust. Who has dust???? where does it come from?
My machine didn't come with a cover and is naked too. Poor thing. |
