Thanks for posting your picture! It sure is funny!!! I'm sure you made lots of quilters on this site feel better about their rooms or areas. Thanks for sharing!!

with my memory, I have to keep order or I would never find a thing I need. Also I share my room with DH roll top desk. If he had to wade into the room I'm sure he wouldn't say anything but he surly would let me know in different ways to keep my mess orderly (how do you keep a mess orderly?)

My area is my kitchen table. Sewing machine stays set up all the time. Fabric on the chair beside me stacked up. Ironing board set up beside me! It is a mess. Plus the table is a catch-all for junk-mail and newspapers. Good thing it is a big table. And no we don't eat at the table much! We do have one end and corner that we can sit at and snack or drink. I have a very small house so no dedicated sewing room!

I feel so much better now.

mine is about the same I am moving to a large room, so that should help. Creative minds don't have time to clean lol.

Hmmm--right now, my mess is in THREE rooms--trying to consolidate it to just the room I actually sew in, and the storage in the extra bedroom...., but that is NOT working so far. The cats decided to help me the other day--they got into the storage room, and had a ball mixing up all the stacks of fabric I had just sorted and folded! But the MOST fun was knocking down the bead and button containers!
I have decided to go through all my fabric and take out of the totes everything I KNOW I am not going to use. For example the two prints that are Indiana State U----my Mom got me some sealed boxes of fabric at a sale, and I do not need to keep it all!
And somehow I ended up with two copies of Lap Quilting,(YES---guess I forgot I had it already!) so I need to get that on the classifieds!

I win because I cannot even shut the door to my sewing room!!! Too much stuff.

I finally cleaned up the worst room, though, which was my computer room. And, I agree: Do not show the 'Before' pictures until you can show the 'After' pictures. But do take pictures through the process. It is sooooo rewarding!

Now for the rest of the house!
