I would not change it.
I love the secondary design, the arrows. I'm going to have to play with it. |
LOL! Reminds me of the saying, "There is one in every crowd!!" If it were mine, I would put that name on the label. It's a beautiful pinwheel quilt!! Great job!

I love the secondary design, the arrows. I'm going to have to play with it. If that rebel pinwheel had been in the middle, it would have been surrounded by subtle arrows. That's really cool! Now I like it even better! It makes me think of the hidden arrow in the FedEx logo. |
Oh believe me you could replace that perfectly and I usually do just that. But, this is the first one I really would leave in. Just because it needs to stay that way. He had to be different and there's one in every crowd. Love it!
I couldn't find it on my own. I like it too glad you're leaving it.
In all Amish quilts they do make one block a little different from the rest. They say the only thing perfect is God. So they purposely make their quilts imperfect. I like the idea. That way if I mess up I can just say it was planned. lol
Your humility inspires me and so does your wonderful quilt.
I'd tell her that's how I wanted it!! Don't mess with something that's pretty the way it is! And,since she HAD to tell you about it, don't gift it to her!!
In bead-work, you always put ONE bead in the wrong order. Only the Lord is perfect, certainly I'm NOT! I'd leave that block right where it's at and just tell SIL, it was planned that way. If SIL is recipient, maybe she secretly wants to make one herself?
By the By, your points are all awesome. Perfect just as it is. |
Tell you SIL that the one block is right and all the others are wrong and you don't want to change all the others. LOL
my saying is when i make a mistake it gives it charter your quilt is very nice!!!
Beautiful quilt. Love the suggestion of "Stands out in a Crowd". I am new to quilting. Hope I can do great work like this, someday!
I had to look for it as well. I would definately leave it in the quilt. Humility block is a great reason to have it there and saves fixing. I like the look with it included.
Love your quilt BTW. |
It looks fine to me! Great job!

Took me awhile to find it. I like it the way it is, but at least it is on the edge if you wanted to change it. I love the pinwheel design especially with white. Makes the whole thing look fresh and clean
Never would have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it. It adds character and personality. I am glad to hear that you are leaving it like it is. It sure would be interesting to see how many people actually notice it without being told.
I couldn't see the mistake block, but that is okay, the Amish have a policy, to always make one mistake in every one of the beautiful quilts they make. The policy being, is that only God is perfect, so they make sure none of their quilts are. They make one block wrong, or have one piece of fabric, wrong side up, and so on...... Yours is beautiful, and perfect in my eyes. Thanks for posting. Auntie B.

Name this one "Dances to a different drummer" and leave it in. I think you will be amazed by how few people notice it.

Just lovely, terrific job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
Lovely quilt!
Very nice. I love pinwheels too.
If you had not said, I would never have seen it...I had to hunt and hunt to find it. It is a beautiful quilt...
love it very much
I love this quilt just the way it is. There's nothing to change.
It doesn't matter about the reverse one! The quilt is finished and beautiful, color and fabrics are pretty, Enjoy!
What are SIL's for if not pointing out our little boo-boos? Must be my EX-SIL...but you can keep her! Haha! I would have never found it, but glad you are leaving it right where it is. Beautiful quilt!
Nancy, If you didn't say anything I wouldn't have found it!! It's beautiful no matter which way the wind is blowing the pinwheels!!
