Really sucked in air on this one. We celebrate when we find things at auctions and estate sales. But I have her memory of love burned in my mind as she worked so very hard to finish before my wedding.

Good luck with your venture.

I also have this in a full-size quilt in blues/lavenders. My mom bought the kit and started on it in the 1970's. I inherited all her UFOs and finally finished it a few years ago. I tried to hand quilt it myself and I need to re-do some of that because I didn't know what I was doing. It took us some 30 years to finish it and it is a treasure to me. I still have the directions that are now tattered and yellowed from age, but love that paper almost as much as I love the quilt. I'd say "priceless". Thanks for the memory jog.

Love the quilt and yes take it out of the plastic and get it appraised ...as for your priceless photo of hubby and dog....submit to quilting mags for others to enjoy!!!

It is breath taking...I have no idea how much it is worth but it's gotta be alot.

do not keep it in plastic. Use acid free something or use a cotton fabric in which to store it.

Oh my gosh, the pic of DH and the dog is just hilarious. That's a very helpful team of helpers you have there! Too funny!

Oh my gosh, all that handwork, the hours spent! May be worth spending the money to get it appraised.
