When my children were young and we didn't have much money, I cut up a bunch of wool coats and made a brick pattern quilt. It was really warm. It actually looked nice too.

Do you like Primitive quilts? The new magazine Primitive Quilts and Projects has lots of uses for wool.

Make penny rugs, candle mats, pincushions.

Or you could offer it for sale. I would love some.

There are LOTS of people who felt wool for various projects who would just love to get their hands on your beautiful assortment.

I think wool is great. You can use it in so many things. Wool applique has such a great look. Hope you can find a use for them. :)

I saw a wool quilt with sections of decorator fabric alternating with the wool sections. the wool looked like men's suiting. Sort of like a Turning Twenty. then it was quilted with silk or rayon thread using decorative stitches. I have a bag of wool suiting samples and decorator fabrics I pick up out of remnant bins and am going to make one - one of these days. I did love that quilt. I asked for a pattern, but then the store went out of business!!!

I have been making woolen mittens that are lined with fleece. They are soft, warm and cuddly! Also, here in Michigan, wool applique has become very popular. You have some beautiful pieces and they can cost quite a bit for a piece in our LQS. Enjoy or maybe sell them on the Board.

Have you been to Country Collections by Hart in Moore, Oklahoma? They have a HUGE selection of patterns and books to make items with wool. Also, on Tuesdays and Saturdays they have a sit and work session where some ladies do rug hooking and others work on other projects. I love that store and feel this great need to run up there every week as the owners are seriously thinking about closing the store due to the economy. You will be surprised at the selection of patterns and the number of samples hanging up around the store. I love wool rug hooking so if I had your selection of wool I know it would end up in a rug or penny rugs.
