That is beautiful. I can't wait to advance to solid color quilting

Ronda K Beyer 12-28-2009 03:35 PM

Thank you all again... I think I have answered where this quilt will go 1st in my previous reply... You can view my other work at http://www.community.webshots.com/User/RondaBeyer

I have many other winning quilts recent ones being Darwin's Diamonds and Flowers, Gypsy Rosalie, Essence, It Ain't Easy Being Green to name a few. Some of my work can be viewed at www.gammill.net, www.imqa.org... I have also won BOS at the Northwest Quilting Expo the last 3 years in a row, 4 years total......

Not sure what FMQ stands for.... If I did i could answer the question.

My Mom owns a Quilt Shop in Oregon and has for 29 years on the Oregon Coast, Jane's Fabric Patch... I have been machine quilting for 5 years and did hand quilting for over 20 years before buying my Gammill.... I quilt for show for others as well as myself and also quilt simple all-overws for others.... I try to design and quilt 2 of my own show quilts a year but that does not always happen.... I will be teaching longarm quilting at MQX and MQS in 2010, I also teach at my Moms; Shop but not longarm quilting.... Again, thanks for you kind words

Rhonda 12-28-2009 03:47 PM

FMQ free motion quilting

sylvia77 12-28-2009 04:05 PM

FMO probably means free motion quilting.

Ronda K Beyer 12-28-2009 10:50 PM

Since I got my Gammill in May 2004....

Deecee 12-29-2009 12:13 AM

Absolutely beautiful work. Another winner coming up.

SSTeacher 12-29-2009 06:38 AM

Now that is beauty beyond words. No one could ever duplicate that and it should get the "highest first" ever. Thanks for shawing, Rhonda.

aliaslaceygreen 12-29-2009 06:43 AM

This is lovely....truly lovely.
I can not WAIT to see this finished!!! What show do you expect it to go to?? I go to Quiltfest in Hampton VA every year...

SSTeacher 12-29-2009 06:49 AM

To Aliaslacygreen:

I, too, attend the quilt show in Hampton. Several ladies on the Board have mentioned about attending and it would be great to set up a meeting place, but, I have not heard back from anyone. We live in Newport News, VA, and attend every year. Maybe you can PM me and work out some details about meeting and putting faces to our names.

Quiltbaby 12-29-2009 07:17 AM

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forums. I am also new to quilting. I have looked at many quilts for about two months and this is so beautiful. Can you tell me if you are doing your quilting on a machine or are you doing free motion. I see so many people presenting their quilts and my mind is so full of wanting to do something like that.

Thanks so much for sharing this picture. It is awesome. The appliques are beautiful. What esle can I say...Have a Happy New Year.

Thank you Everyone, WOW, I am blushing! I have my 3 granddaughters for a few days so quilting has been put on the back burner.

This is my applique quilt, my own design, I used some ultra suede for the little parts of the applique, the rest is needle turn...

I will be teaching at the big machine quilting shows the 1st is MQX then to MQS, I also teach from my Studio here in Oregon... I hope to have more to show as the week continues.
