Would it be OK to post pictures of a baby quilt my two daughters made?
The youngest daughter did all the cross stitched pictures and the elder daughter set the pictures together did the quilting. They just recently sent pictures to let me see how it turned out.
The cross stitching was done on the smallest weave possible (maybe Aida??) and are the Joan Walsh Anglund alphabet girls. |
of course you can. the Pictures forum is for quilt related pictures, whether you made the item yourself or you are posting someone else's creation.

The camera must not have been doing well, because the real quality of this quilt is "heirloom" without a doubt.
First, think how many hours it took to do the cross stitching. Then see that the quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted. I will start with a tiny block showing the "R," Then show a granddaughter holding the whole quilt. Later maybe I can post other pictures to show what they did. |

Here are a few more shots they have shared.

This is a photo of the bottom part of the baby quilt. Maybe you can see enough of it to understand why it might take a long time to finish.

Excellent labor of love. Would they be home schooled by any chance? Sometimes, there is such a simplicity and appreciation for hand made items that these kids shine in their learning and achievements and an eagerness to learn and to do their very best! What a blessing for you to be able to share your love of quilting and needlework with them!
Telll them what a great job they did, beautiful work, all of it and a treasured keepsade for that baby. |
very nicely done
