I do not have a pattern,other than a paper octagon. You add strips around it like when you make a log cabin,,,

Do I have this right?
Eleanor Burns octagon ruler, put together like e Dresdan Plate pattern, applique circle in the center, add diamond shapes to outer part of octagons, add borders being careful of the obtuse corners, quilt, bind. Is that about right?
