Oh and as for plastic covers...a complete unknown in our house. Last year my youngest called in at a friend's place and he came home stunned..."Mum, they had plastic runners on the carpet, fitted plastic covers on the furniture and on lamp shades...what's that all about...who does that?" For once, I was lost for words.

haha. I even threw out the arm covers that matched the sofa! Not in my house!

Absolutely fantastic!

Reminds me of my Aunt when I was a kid. She allowed no one in her living room as it was completely for show (with the plastic slip covers).

Everything was white and gold including a white carpet and white and gold baby grand piano which no one was allowed to play. Including her own son who was a pianist!!!

HMMM; maybe that would be a great idea! DH would send me off to Independence (site of the local Mental Health Center) for sure
