Oh gosh cute...I missed this thread until now and I wonder how that happened! I love what you are doing...well, not burning your fingers, but the blocks!!! Love them, can't wait to see it laid out!

Hello Cutebuns,
Have you every used triangulations? It is great when working with small squares. You place the printed paper on two pieces of fabric for the size squares that you want. Then sew on the dash lines. Then you cut on the solid lines. When I make 3" squares, I come away with 8 triangle squares. It is quite accurate.

Well, needed to go out for a bit, but I am back and here it is laid out on the table. There are a few rows that don't fit on the table so will have to lay them out after I get these sewn and can move them easily.

I have never used triangulations. I have never tried paper piecing. I want to try all sorts of things, including hand quilting. Some people tend to follow one style were as I want to try everything at least once. I am not sure how successful I will be at any of them but i love to learn new things. I have only ben quilting for about 2 1/2 years so I have a lot to learn yet.

Just to let everyone know that i will be explaining what is behind this quilt, meaning why I made it. It is for me, though i really like it, not sure if I am going to keep it. I will be doing this as I either get the top done or get it quilted and or done.

Oh WOW!!!! I love the layout!! With all those beautiful squares...knowing me I'd have played with the layout forever....you did great!!! I recently made one with a similar layout, but no where near as "wow...gotcha' " as yours is!!

Beautiful! I love the blocks together, just absolutely gorgeous :)

If you decide not to keep it I'd be happy to adopt it ;) ;)

cutebuns 06-05-2009 09:12 AM

there seems to be a lot of offers to adopt the poor thing, I wish I could make one for all of you. I don't think I have enough of these prints for that.
