Private showing of one lady's quilts
#23
What a beautiful find for you, Bet they truely enjoyed your visit and they could show their treasures to you, who enjoyed and appreciated their treasures, understood the time that was put into it, and could foresee the pattern & colors. I hope you can the continue to show their quilts as you put their quilts in order for them... And maybe share their stories along with the pic. Thanks and I hope you pass all the positive comments on to them...

They are blessed for having you show interest and friendship. And you are blessed for having them in your life. I'm with the others -- move that table out and that LA back where it can be used and enjoyed. Beautiful quilts.

She does not have any training or lessons in quilt making. She handles the fabric, and it 'talks' to her, she matches it up and cuts out the blocks. That might take her from a day to a week or so, then she starts sewing up the quilt. I was truly amazed with her results in the beauty of the quilts, matching up the colors, and designing her quilts. Did not get to see her "God's Eye" and her "Stars over Georgetown Path' looked like the Trip around the world, the first one pictured in this thread. ..then again, it could be her version of it. Need to see it again. Missed the first of the show, because I had forgotten I packed the camera in my purse... with hope and prayers, I will get to visit them again and take more pictures of the quilts..

Thank you for sharing the lovely quilts of this lovely lady. I know how children can be. None of my children, GC, nieces, or nephews want any of my stuff. Even my husband is not crazy about it. It would all go to GW or garbage is something happens to me... So sad when I hear of others in the same boat.
