    Very, very cute! I like the idea of dark green binding, but any of the colors mentioned would be great!

    I usually use the pillowcase method.then sew 1/4" all the way around the edges with varigated thread. gives it a little more oomph, if you know what I mean. They are lovely.

    You could do a red and green stripe for a binding. Should work on both sides.
