Extremely nice looking - that's going to be one you can be proud of when it's finished.

Blue, it is absolutely stunning! Wow, I love those colors!!!! Could you let me know what the names/numbers are on your fabrics? Your combination is wonderful.

The border fabric is called "Daylight Fields" by Sue Beevers, put out by RJR Fabrics in 2007. I have seen a lighter version too, same purples and greens but in lighter shades. The co-ordinates I've used are all moda marbles.

I fell in love with that fabric and the colours in it, so bought a metre (just over a yard). But my quilt teacher at the time was horrified and said it was far too dark to use and any quilt made with it would be too dark. That was at the beginning of my quilting days and I thought I'd made a terrible mistake, so I pretty much put it away and tried to forget about it.

But every time I saw it my head fair near exploded with the possibilities, and when pittsburghpam posted her Broken Star made with no diamonds (this pattern) I knew exactly what I was going to use it for.

My evil side can't wait to show that quilt teacher the finished quilt, because I *KNOW* this looks good. :-)

I wonder if I can still get some. I'll have to check.
