I decided to start the quilting process on my mystery quilt. I have decided to do echo quilting around the stars and diagonals on the squares. I was thinking I would make the diagonals in one direction (or should I cross hatch?).
So far, I have echoed one star on the inside of the star and two going around. Should I make one more outline on the outside? Also, should I do my diagonals going out from the center star and stop when I get to the next star and then echo that one? Hope this is making sense. The borders will have meandering and will do stars in the cornerstones. Also, do you think I should do something different in the small white border?

Sorry, for so many questions. But, I really do appreciate everyones help. Oh, and I am using my walking foot. The quilt is about 48X68 inches.

Nice chains and star...good colors...I would go diagonal the squares of the chain and maybe one more trip around the stars...

I would cross hatch the blue squares and echo each star at least 3-4 times altogether. That should keep everything in place during use and washing. I am no expert. I am just saying what I would do. Hope it helps you.
