THIS is why I love to see other people's work. I would never have thought to use patterned fabrics for this applique design, and would have thought I was quite creative using a solid pink, for instance, for the leaves. I'm so glad you posted your photo - my mind is blown!

I don't get motion sickness-not since a kid, but being in a car is too bumpy for me to do sewing handwork, maybe knit or crochet. We listen to audio books on long trips and I just watch the change of scenery as a passenger.but overnites in hotel/motel...that's where the traveling bag comes out!

I have very few times done work while traveling. I am so glad
my mother taught us to enjoy the journey and look outside car at
new things.
Since we travel almost 2000 miles south / north every six months I
can enjoy that journey. We also travel a lot in summer.
