I agree, block A went together pretty quickly...I did find that the directions were incorrect for one of the pieces, at least in my copy - in block B - piece B says 'make 4' and piece Ba 'make 4'. However I didn't find a use for 4 pieces of B, I needed 8 pieces of Ba. What color is yours?

I like the blue! That would have been my first choice, but it wasn't for me - and besides, I have been told at quilt retreat that I only make blue quilts....TOTALLY not true though.

Amazing quilt! Love how you emphasized the 3D effect of it.

I love the purple I just finished a top in greens but I'm stumped at how to quilt it. Would love any ideas on what to do.

Oh I bet greens are beautiful - I would love to see it! I almost did mine in green, and I may still do one in green. I ended up quilting mine with 'pebbles' and I tried to make them in graduated sizes by color to maximize the 3-D effect, but I wasn't too successful at it lol. I am not quite done quilting it, but almost and it was really labor intensive - I did it on my sewing machine, as always. Time will tell if my chosen thread was correct - I matched the top color (white, light purple, dark purple and black) and used dark invisible poly on the back. When I made the back I made some blocks from the leftovers and pieced the back. I think if I were going to do it again, I would have used a solid black backing and then matched the top thread and bottom thread, because on the back i think using the different colored thread on black would look kind of cool, but maybe next time. I used wool batting which is 'poofy' and I am liking the effect so far. Let me know what you decide, and I want see!
