    My oldest went to her first quilt show and absolutely fell in love with a purple log cabin in the show. Her hubby had to drag her out because she loved it so much. Because she wanted one so bad and could not find one in any magazine I decided to knock the dust off of my machine and give it a whirl. I haven't done any sewing of any kind in 20 years. Hers was the first one I made and she got it for Christmas in 2008. I thought we were going to have to pick her up off of the floor when she opened it. The next thing I knew she had crawled up in my lap - I was 53 then and she was 35 -and curled up like a little kitten wrapped in her new quilt. I love to make my girls happy :thumbup: .

    I love your quilt. I have yet to make a log cabin quilt, but seeing one in purple makes me want to dig through my stash.

    Wow!! That was the first quilt you made? It's fabulous! What a wonderful gift to your daughter. (Would you like another grown daughter? I promise I'm past the sullen, moody phase....)

    I have several friends who love purple. I don't know which one I will give it too. LOL It is a beautiful quilt!! Shoot, I wouldn't mind having it myself!
