Purple Paper Piecing Top Done
#72
Ooooohh really nice. You did a fantastic job and the color selection works nicely.
I have that same book and was thinking of that star pattern. I started with the Ohio Star, but when I began mine, I had a really bad sinus headache and gave up on it; which is NOT like me to do. Planning on going back to the paper piecing star because once you get the hang of it, it really goes fast. The patterns do look intimidating, but they really aren't. Just be patient because until you catch on, it can be a little frustrating. I usually make one block to see if I like the color scheme on copy paper, then sew it up. If it doesn't work, I go back to the paper and color a new star. That star I don't use will now go on my scrappy quilt and will become a conversation piece like all the other pieces in that quilt.
Keep up the good work. What color oare you backing it with?
