This is a quilt that I made for my daughter's 3rd grade teacher. (Kaylee is now in 4th) She is the "Purple Lady" of the town! I made her a purple wallhanging for the last day of school this past year and she asked me to make her a big one for her King waterbed.

It is a Disappearing 9 Patch with a Twist and measures 83X96. It took me all summer to handquilt because of so much going on and those pesky things called kids. But I finally got it all finished along with 4 pillowcases and delivered it to the school yesterday.

She LOVES it! I was so nervous because it is my first quilt that somebody commissioned and bought from me.

Here's a picture of it folded. I already had it folded up all nice and neat and then realized I didn't take a picture but you'll get the overall feel of the quilt.

You did a nice job, Collette. Sure is a load of purple in that one. :D It looks very nice, though! Just not my color. Now if it were blue, that would be my color. :D
