My 8 yo DGD needed a purse to carry her bible to church. Her mother said she didn't want pink, purple, butterflies, or hearts. One of her favorite colors is lime green and she LOVES bling. Here is the bag I made her for Christmas. She really liked it.

That is a line of sequins on the top

I can see why she likes her new bling. Simple, but definitely shiny. I learned long ago to never sew anything without my granddaughter's choosing their fabrics. Would much rather have her happy than disappointed, or have something she would not use.
