    Default QAYG Scrappy Quilt

I had a bunch of the string blocks so decided to put them together as Quilt as you Go--I did free motion quilting in each section. Have no idea where this will end up but for now I added it to my shelves--I like to enjoy them for awhile before they go out the front door! The Green backed blocks is just what it looks like--what one does when you run out of fabric. I think if I were doing this again I'd try it with the individual blocks rather than the larger sections. The blocks have muslin foundations and I used fleece as my batting. The rusult is a quilt that is fairly heavy but will probably be pretty warm.

Great string quilt! I need to clean out scraps soon and I know I have LOTS of strings to work with.
