My daughter is graduating next month with a PHd in Archeology. She requested a quilt for her mentor, the head of the department at her college. He is in his 80s and lives alone.

Their area of expertiese is in ancient pottery of Mexico.

    This is a lap sized quilt, 54 x 64.

Since I am leaving next Sunday for the graduation, this was a quick project, made of 4 patches and sashings.

    What do you think?

Wow, it is really lovely! The fabrics remind me a lot of pottery, and the 4-patch posies are perfect similies for broken pots :) Love it!
