    Default Quilt for childhood buddy

A girlfriend I’ve known since we were toddlers asked me to make her a quilt. So I made one as a Christmas gift. I had wanted to try out a lattice style pattern. The block construction cut off these huge corners. So as I sewed a square onto the rectangle, I added a seam a half inch from the the other. When I cut the corners, I had half square triangles. I played with the HSTs and left over rectangles and scraps on the back. I ended up liking the back better than the front. Please forgive the quilting. I tried a diagonal seam and basting spray. Neither of which turned out beautiful.....but I made it with ❤️ and she loves the quilt. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful quilt. It calls out to you. We get to wrapped up in the latest and greatest sometimes that we forget all about simplicity. Simple functional quilts is what it's all about. Not that it's that simple but deceivingly makes you think it is. Thanks for posting.

Very pretty quilt. If you both like it that is all that matters.

Both sides are great! The back has a very modern flair.
