I have been going over and over this and I just can't see it objectively anymore. My original design has large 12" blocks of the floral and it's starting to look too plain to me. I added the basket blocks and put the large floral in the center area around the applique block.

I just don't know anymore and in another day I need to decide what fabric is going on the large triangles of the Jacob's Ladder blocks.

This shows the real scale of the large floral

I like the baskets. I think the large floral in the 2nd picture takes away from the center block, which is really the showcase.

I don't see plain. It is beautiful. I like the baskets too.

Thank you. I am liking the baskets more and more. It's like a copy of the center basket and rose at the top in a totally different style.

I wonder how it would look if I fussy cut a piece of the large floral that just has the small flowers and tendrils of vines and used it as the white area inside the basket, like flowers coming out of the blue triangle.

I think it would be really pretty to fussy cut flowers for the basket, but definitely keep the baskets.

I LOVE the first one. Even without fussy cut fabrics. I think the baskets add, but like someone else said, you don't want to take away from the center design.

I'm not concerned about more work, it takes whatever it takes. It's only 4 blocks so I can say that. :-P
