This is the first quilt that I have ever made that used a fabric collection, Moda's Hope for a Cause. I was blessed with a large stash of fabric right after I finished my first quilt. So my quilts have all started with that stash of fabrics. The second quilt was started last winter when I had a lot of snow days. No where to go and I had lots of fabric. It taught me how important that scant 1/4" really is. Lost too many points to count on that one. But I love it because of the colors.

I really like scrappy sample quilts - they look really nice as separate blocks
