    Default Quilt for a Friend

A friend of ours has started chemo - one and half days a month. When I gave her the quilt, she was so surprised and kept saying you made this for me? I said yes and I hope this gives you a little bit comfort and explained this was something I could do for her. She love sitting and looking at a lake so I made this quilt. The next day was the start of her second chemo sessions and her husband sent me a picture of her getting her chemo and she has the quilt over her. So rewarding.

An act of kindness to someone going through so much can be so much more rewarding to the giver and the reciever. This will never be forgotten.

That's so pretty. Such a nice gesture of you.

I have started gifting quilts I have made in the past to different people who have touched me. Recently it was to a couple who just got married and they were over the moon about the quilt I gave them. Another table runner to a new neighbor who just couldn't believe I would have given that to her . It just feels so good and worth all the hours I may have spent making them. My kids and grandkids have their quilts I made for them and at my age (78) I need to start giving certain things away. It is such a rewarding thing to do.
    Have a good day!

A beautiful peronalized quilt is always the best! Thanks for sharing your time, talent and treasure for a friend in need. Infusion places are always sooooo cold, so besides the hug, it will provide warmth too.

Some have challenging journeys - and sometimes feeling the love and care of a friend can make a difference in that journey. A beautiful and meaningful quilt gift for your friend may be the best medicine. Nice work!

just having someone make something for you is good. She will appreciate the thought for sure and I'm sure she will get lots of use out of it too. Good going.
