Yes, stitch-in-the-ditch on all the seams. I used white for the top thread (since most seams were of the white material) and a tan color thread for the bobbin thread. A note about that pattern in the book - it says the finished size of their quilt is 59" x 72", which is wrong - their actual finished size would be 49" x 62". I added a 5" border all the way around (their version didn't include a border) which then brought it up to 59" x 72".

I made it with a Moda layer cake in the "Harvest Home" collection by Blackbird Designs. The pattern is called "Hidden Stars" from the "Layer Cake, Jelly Roll, and Charm Quilts" book by Pam & Nicky Lintott. I really like the look of the crisp white stars against the background fabric - I think I may have to make me one for myself some day in this same pattern. The finished size is 60" x 72".

    WOW Eddie!!!!!!!!!

You've done it again - you totally amaze me at how you knock out these beauties one after the other like you do.
Your MIL is one lucky lady bless her, how lucky is she to have such a caring SIL like you. I love stars & the fabrics you have used are so scrummy I could eat them LOL. Don't forget to post pics of her at Christmas with her quilt :?:
BTW when your making one for yourself please put remember me too
