    That is awesome!! I also went to the link that you provided and I think I have found a new favorite!! I will be ordering at least one of each of her books! And it's reassuring that a beginner can do these! Thanks for sharing!

    Yes it's 3 different shades of the same colour. Karen Coombs has a range of fabrics called Shade Cascade (Blank Fabrics) that has 4 shades of the same colour in stripes across the width of the fabric. Some of the fabric I used were those and some were just whatever I had.
