*** Oct. 19, 2008 **** Here is the mess. I got from the Jacob team today:

    Hi Cathy,

Just a quick update to let you know the quilt that all of you from the Friendship Frame Quilters generously donated was auctioned off last night. Tickets sold for $5.00 each or 5/$20.00. I'm excited to say, we sold a whopping $777.00 in tickets with ALL proceeds going to the McQuades. The winner was a lady named Cathy from Harrison Twp Michigan. I will be posing pictures soon... Please let all the quilters know how very thankful we are to each and everyone of them including yourself Cathy for helping us to help the McQuades. You're ALL truly wonderful and appreciated more than you will ever know!

    Thanks Again
    Elle

***WOW!!! What a wonderful surprise!! Thanks everyone who had a hand in this!!!***

I am so excited...I finally got the pics of Jacob and his quilt and the one to be auctioned off.

I have lots more pics....but could only post 3 here. So when I have more time I will post more!!

Here is the link to his myspace page if you would like to keep up with it all:

The group that donated the blocks for these quilts are going to get alot of kudos...So best to keep up with them all ladies!!! LOL!

Here is the letter I got :

    Hi Cathy,

Just a quick note to let you know that Jacob absolutely LOVES his new quilt. I posted pics today and will put out a bulletin sometime this week... Please let the Friendship Frame Quilters know how wonderful ALL of them are including yourself for making these for Jacob. We're still debating on putting the Red, White and Blue quilt on Ebay.. I'll let you know what we decide.

    Thanks Again
    Hugs, Elle

P.S. Does the Friendship Frame Quilters normally make quilts for children who are ill? I would like to put a little about your group in a bulletin. Any information you have to offer would be much appreciated!

I told them I was no longer a member of this group and explained why!!! So gave them as much info as I could. Guess someone else will have to fill them in more.

    Here's the pics:

Cathy, what a heart warming story and great quilts. I sure hope that the chemo works for him.
