    Hi -

I was hoping some of you might have ideas on a label for a quilt. I am making the quilt for a baby boy. He is due next week. Aso, I am making his sister a quilt. I always get flustered on what to put on labels. This is the baby boy's top:

His sister I am making a princess quilt. I thought msaybe something like " Made with love for Princess Libby .... " then putting my info name , date etc.

    What do you all think?

Baby boy quilt top it has bears and cars on the focus fabric

What I do is put the name of the quilt on one line. Example:

    Bears Galore
    Especially for Susan
    Made with love by Mom
    Month and Year completed

I use either Printed Treasures with a background or some other small icon from a greeting card program I have, or I embroider a label with my machine.

Thanks for the suggestion Judy. I am going to attempt to embroider a label for these two. It is my first attempt. I think I will do a car for the baby boy and maybe a wand or crown for the princess one.

Any suggestions on getting the embroidery to not pucker? It seems everytime I embroider something, when I take it out of the hoop i get tiny wrinkles around the design that I can't iron out.

I use tear away stabilizer and stretch the fabric taunt A sprits with the iron and get the point in close to the design,

    Quotes from the internet:

    * A package of joy, a bundle of bliss/ This quilt for baby was sealed with a kiss
    * Blessed are the children, for they shall inherit the quilts!
    * Ten little fingers/ Ten little toes/ The sweetest of smiles/ And a cute little nose/ All these add up/ To a wonderful thing--/ A baby--/ The greatest gift/ Life can bring.

I really like " A package of joy, a bundle of bliss/ This quilt for baby was sealed with a kiss" Wonder if I'm going to be able to fit everything I want to put on it now lol.
