Default A Quilt with the lot

I have just finished this quilt and managed to do some fmq on it. It's been something that I have wanted to do for a long time, but couldn't quite get the right look to it that I was happy with. This is the first time I have ever attempted fmq on an actual real full size quilt. After several attempts that got undone, I managed some daisy type flowers and I guess something that would be a cross between bubbles and stippling. Definitely room for improvement, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I also hand quilted 4 blocks and quilted other parts with stitches available on my machine. The quilt itself is qayg and although I wasn't happy with it at first, it is all ok now that it is finished.

I haven't got one of those sliding things that goes on the machine, so I raided my kitchen and used glad bake paper which worked very well. I don't have gloves yet either, so definitely had an adventure. I have a Pfaff 1471 which is about 35 years old, but it worked really well, even though the space to work in is tiny. I'm looking forward to further experimenting.

I'm new to this board so hoping I've posted the pictures right. Fingers crossed that it all works.

Very summery and cheerful. It also has an old fashion feel to it that is very appealing. You did a great job.
