Thanks! This is only the 2nd large quilt I've ever made. I've spent years watching my grandma, mom and aunts, tho!

I made them a red and green quilt when they got married 3 years ago.......
when I asked what her favorite colors were later, she told me blue and yellow........so......now she gets her blue and yellow quilt!
It's my own pattern, the center of each modified 9 patch is a 5.5" square of Nature's chorus. : )
the large squares in the 4 patches are 5.5" squares of April Cornell's Sunshine line........blue background in the blue block and yellow background in the yellow ones. the goal was to make the 4 patches as scrappy as possible....... : )
It took about 4 days to cut it all out and put the top together. and about 4 Sat. to hand quilt it--with help! : ) Thanks mom and friends! the hand quilting is very simple--just quilted diagonally thru three places on each block.

Very nice! I like both the use of puss in corner block and double 4 patch. That April Cornell line was quite a favorite of mine when it came in shop. Blue and yellow quilts are popular for a reason, they just so pretty! I have yet to make my blue and yellow. The fabric only been aging for 6 years. Don't want to rush it! LOL It was purchased by a friend from the 2001 National Houston show and includes templates. At some point, I will have to gulp and cut it out, but templates make me nervous. Maybe I will just let it age a little longer.
