I have a set of blocks my grandmother made (who knows when) that look just like this. I orginally got them when she died so I could finish it for my bed but, I am older and married now and I don't think my DH would appreciate butterflies. It's real pretty.

What a beautiful quilt and how nice that you have something made by your grandmother.

Do you have a daughter or granddaughter to make them up for?

Another beautiful keepsake from your grandmother! You are very lucky to have them.

It must have been a popular pattern. I have one that looks like the same pattern that my grandma made. The stripping is yellow instead of blue. Sometimes, I think I will make a duplicate.
