I never had thought to make "a sewing type gift" to my MIL as she did everything so well--beautiful quilts. I admired her handquilting so much. I am seeing more people giving quilted projects to other quilters and they are so appreciated--who better to appreciate a quilt but someone that knows all that goes into these beautiful quilts. I missed this oportunity as she passed away a few years ago. Your beautiful quilt is an inspiration to others to remember that quilters love quilts and love the quilt giver.

    Hello,
I have that same bird fabric and always wondered what pattern I could use. You did a beautiful job. If you could tell me what pattern you used I would like to make that one.

    Thanks, Joanne

What an interesting design. Love the bird fabric. I bet she was very happy. It is lovely to receive something home made, even if you yourself can make it. I feel that is so special.
