What a wonderful idea and pattern. What fabric and pen did you use to prevent fading?

The tree was embroidered on a piece of her wedding dress. I also made small stuffed bird ornaments for all of the females in the family (26), a memory bear for her five grand daughters, and a pillow for her daughter from the wedding dress. Not a fan of sewing heavy satin (it stretches a lot) but everyone seemed to like the items. By the way the picture is of me and the quilt. I told the photographer NOT to put me in it but... I am so thankful to have such an amazing mother -in-law.

This is the best memory/tribute quilt I have ever seen. Great job on it.
