Default Quilt from my nephews clothes

My nephew was in Afghanistan and was sent home because his father was dying. He got home before he died. Visited with his mother and sister and went in to take a nap. He died in his sleep before his father did!! He was 38. My niece asked me if I could make a quilt from his uniforms and clothes. This is what I made for her.

That is so sad. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. The quilt is a wonderful tribute to your nephew. Thanks for posting it.

Oh my, life can be soooo cruel. This quilt will mean so much to them, is there not enough for two, one each? Just a thought, what about adding some of the dads clothes? So sad :-(

Heartbreaking! I am guessing an embolism from the long flight and dehydration. Hope your quilt brings some comfort.

Our prayers go out to the family. You did a great job with his uniforms.
