Quilt that my niece and I have completed

This little girl will never forget you and all you've taught her!! You are a GREAT influence and inspiration to her! She did great! I really loved the kite tails on it as it adds so very much to this quilt. It's so adorable and the little purse is priceless with all its embellishments! ;-) :D   And you both had fun together - that's the best part!

When my smaller sewers come to visit, I put my sewing machine on the coffee table. It makes everything within reach, and by leaning down over it a bit, it's also easier to see just where the stitches are going. We started by following lines on paper. Another thing I did was to turn the speed of my machine down, so that no matter how hard the pedal is stepped on, the needle won't go too fast.
