Default A Quilt from my Northcott Prize

I knew last year that I had won the contest for the raffle quilt block and FINALLY, last week, I got to pick up my award! 12 yds of fabric from Northcott.
Quite a lot of fabric but..........the colours are just so far out of my comfort zone I just sat and looked at it for a couple of days. Then one morning, in my email was a free pattern from Connecting Threads. Karma if you ask me. Free material and free pattern.
So I whipped up a version that will probably end up being donated, but now I can say "Yes". I used the fabric in the spirit in which it was donated!
( I may give the rest away.........)
(And I bought 5 tickets for the raffle....I really liked the result of the block contest)

Even though the colors may be out of your comfort zone, you have made an amazing, cohesive quilt that is very pretty. Congratulations on the win.

What a bright and cheerful quilt. I remember Northcott use to have very beautiful floral prints. Still have a few left.

I love your colorful top. A smaller version would make a great baby quilt.

Good choice of pattern. You may find that your tastes shift around and you start to appreciate the bright fabrics more. I know that I do, but I have few of them in my stash. Now that's an excuse to shop!
