quilt for new grandson
#1
My DS and DIL are having a new baby in Thanksgiving. His room is all about Dinosaurs. Here is the quilt I made for him. The first quilt they get is always hand quilted. I try to put their name in the label but, so far they can't agree on a name. I told them I would just put on the label the name I plan on calling him--Bubbie. But I didn't cause he might be a Maynard instead. LOL

Adorable.
Love the name you want to call him. My uncle's given name is Donald, but we all call him Bubs or Bubbie ... comes from when he was a baby and his oldest sister said, "Don's making bubs again, mommy!"
And my grandson calls me Bubbe (pronounced Boobie, with the "oo" as in "book", not "boob"), which I believe is Yiddish for Grandma. So call him Bubbie ... and love him to pieces, 'cuz you can alway smake a quilt with those pieces! Yay!

Your grandson will love it, it's adorable. Good luck with the Mammie, I started out as Grammie but my grandson is mildly autistic and couldn't talk for a long time and couldn't say Grammie so he calls me Gigi (his own word). Since then all of his younger cousins now call me Gigi so I guess I am Gigi from now on. Enjoy your grandson, they truly grow up so fast.

My other three grandkids call me Mammie. Well the littlest one, she is two calls me Mam. She is always in a hurry and doesnt' take the time to say Mammie. Grandpa is Pap. I never dreamed my grandkids would call me Mammie, but it is the sweetest word I ever hear.
