Default A Quilt for Our First Great-Grandson

We're so excited. Our first great-grandson was born last week. He's so beautiful and so very tiny. I made this quilt in anticipation of his arrival. The center panel titled "Ethan's Kite" was purchased in 2007 in the hopes of some day using it for just this purpose. The border consists of paper-pieced kites embellished with 1/8" satin ribbon to make the "X" design. My long arm quilter, Pat Luttrell, did a wonderful job of custom quilting to highlight all that's going on in this panel. Kudos to her for helping me to make this quilt so very special for the new little man in our life.

I have an 18-year-old grandson, but I hope he waits a few years to give us a great-grandson!! However, I love your quilt and the quilting.
